Rajapinta ry:n vuotuiset Rajapintapäivät järjestetään Tieteiden talossa Helsingissä 16.–17.11.2023. Perinteiseen tapaan pidämme torstaina 16.11. työpajapäivän ja perjantaina 17.11. epäkonferenssin.
Rajapintapäivät on avoin ja maksuton tapahtuma kaikille, jotka ovat kiinnostuneita yhteiskuntatieteellisestä teknologian tutkimuksesta tai digitaalisten ja laskennallisten menetelmien käytöstä yhteiskuntatieteissä.

EPÄKONFERENSSI perjantaina 17.11. muodostuu osallistujien tapahtumaan tuoman sisällön ympärille. Kaikki teknologiaa, yhteiskuntaa ja digitaalisia/laskennallisia menetelmiä pohtivat tai kehittävät aiheet ovat tervetulleita!
Tapahtuma koostuu 25 minuutin mittaisista sessioista, joita osallistujat voivat varata etukäteen. Ajan voi käyttää perinteiseen esitykseen keskusteluineen, mutta kannustamme kokeilemaan myös muunlaisia, kokeellisempia formaatteja.
Osallistuaksesi epäkonferenssiin:
- Ilmoittaudu tällä verkkolomakkeella perjantaihin 10.11. mennessä, JA
- Lisää oma esityksesi tapahtuman wikiin.
Oman esityksen lisääminen wikiin on mahdollista aina tapahtuman alkuun saakka, mikäli vapaita slotteja riittää. Muistathan kuitenkin myös ilmoittautua verkkolomakkeella, jotta osaamme varata oikean määrän iltapäiväkahvia!

TYÖPAJAPÄIVÄ torstaina 16.11. koostuu erilaisista työpajoista. Etsimme nyt työpajoja ja niiden pitäjiä. Jos sinulla on idea Rajapintapäiville sopivasta työpajasta, lähetä ehdotuksesi rajapintapaivat@rajapinta.co ja sisällytä viestiisi työpajan otsikko, kuvaus sisällöstä ja arvio työpajan kestosta. Me autamme markkinoimaan työpajaa, mutta järjestäjä on vastuussa käytännön järjestelyistä. Olemme varanneet Tieteiden talosta tilan päivän ajaksi; tilaan mahtuu 25 henkilöä. Työpaja voidaan myös järjestää verkon välityksellä.
Deadline työpajaehdotuksille on 15.10.2023. Tämän jälkeen työpajat julkaistaan tapahtuman wikissä ja Rajapinnan verkkosivuilla, markkinoimme niitä somessa ja ilmoittautuminen työpajoihin alkaa.

Call for Proposals: Rajapinta Days 2023
Rajapinta Association’s annual (un)conference Rajapinta Days will be held in Tieteiden talo, Helsinki on November 16–17, 2023. As per tradition, Thursday 16th of Nov. will consist of workshops and Friday 17th of Nov. hosts the unconference. The event is open for everyone interested in the study of digital society and digital methods.
UNCONFERENCE on Friday 17th November is organized around the topics that the participants bring to the event. All topics related to digital social science and digital and computational methods are welcomed.
For the unconference, you are able to reserve a slot of 25 minutes. You can use it for a traditional presentation on a research project, a demo on a methods tool – anything you like as long as it is related to the themes of Rajapinta (that is, technology, digital society, digital and computational methods).
To participate, you should do two things:
1) Register for the unconference through this web form by Nov. 10, AND
2) Add your topic to the event wiki.
Adding your presentation to the wiki is possible until the start of the unconference if free slots remain. However, make sure you register for the event through the web form so we know how much afternoon coffee to reserve!

WORKSHOPS on Thursday 16th November
We are now looking for organizers for the workshops on Thursday 16th November 2023. If you have an idea for a Rajapinta-themed workshop, please shoot an email to rajapintapaivat@rajapinta.co describing the title, theme and expected duration of your workshop. We will help you market the workshop before the event but you are responsible for organizing the workshop. We have reserved a space at Tieteiden talo for the day and it hosts 25 people. The workshop can also take place online.
The deadline for proposing a workshop is on October 15, 2023. After the deadline, workshops will be made public in the event wiki and Rajapinta website, marketed online, and registration for them will open.
